Should celebrities be held to a different standard that everyone else? I in fact, think that yes, they should. Well, no. They shouldn't. But as a society, we put them in that position that we look at their standards. So, I think that celebrities should be held not just to a different standard, but a higher standard. I think that since celebrities are every where, a lot of people tend to look up to them. In the next few paragraphs I will explian my thinking.
I think that the fact that they are everywhere, and people see them on the internet, on TV, in newspapers, and on billbords they know someone is always wathcing them. Just waiting for them to mess up. Waiting for them to make one wrong move. They don't really look at the good, just pick out the bad. So they should step it up to the plate, there's no reason to set a bad example. Because of this reason, I think that they should set a higher standard or example for the many who are actually watching them. So people will see that they do more good and try to do the same.
So many kids and few adults would like to become like one of them. Therefore they act the way that the celebrities act. If celebrities do a good deed, they will want to do the same, but people rarely pick out the good. So once they see a celebrity slip, they do the same. They start acting the way that they do which is not always a good idea.
I think that in today's society, there's not really a way to fix this, it's just the way that it is. Once you are a celebrity, you kind of set or sign yourself up for the task of being an example. You basically are the one who is going to show everyone your standards by your actions. This should not be done though.
In conclusion, I don't like that this is the way it is. Yes, of course celebrites should be held to show higher standards. But as human beings, I think that we should not watch thier every move and we should find more of the good. We should stop comparing ourselves to everything that celebrities or anybody does, just be happy and content with how you act all on your own.

Net Gen
Are we the 'net gen' that they say we are? Of course not. Some, obviously yes, but all, no way. Why do they think of everyone as having this problem? Just the one's who are as they describe as this addiction to the net, we all have the bad name attached to us. I personaly do not think that a 'screenager' is aplicable to every single person. The following reasons will help me explain my thinking.
Thinking of this generation as adicted to screens, screens are everywhere. Of course there is going to be more temptations. But the fact being that they are everywhere doesn't mean that it is just our generation or our generations at all. Because people see them anywhere, this problem can easily be apart of anybodies generation. Not just ours.
Take the following example into consideration. A drug adict. Drugs are everywhere. Drugs are also addicting. Just as the 'net' may be in some cases. Yet, not everyone does drugs. Not every single person has that addicion.
In conclusion, as you can see, I believe that this generation is not the 'net gen'. Yes there may be a few here and there but it is not all of us. Like my example of the drug adict. So, I hope that the older generations will take this into consideration and not name this generation 'the net gen'.
